Ive posted before in the forum before about researching the walker cannons, that were made here in rotherham.
Trying to fit this in with running a buisness so its proving a bit tricky.
I could do with visiting the national archives and digging in the naval records, for information on their relationship with walkers,ie when they recieved the cannons which ships had them etc etc and of course the walkers relationship with the board of ordnance and blomefield who designed the cannons they made.
Question is would anybody be willing to do some digging for me who lives closer than I do.
The long term aim is to have this connection to nelsons navy as a prominent part of an upcoming rotherham history centre.
