If anyone is lucky enough to be in New York between now and 30th April, perhaps you might like to visit the current exhibition at the Grolier Club:

'The Enchantress: Emma, Lady Hamilton'

http://www.grolierclub.org/

The display contains many exhibits from the Jean Kislak collection which appear in the exquisitely produced catalogue that accompanies the exhibition. It has, sadly, sold out, though I was fortunate enough to receive one from a kind friend in New York.

Mrs Kislak's interest in Emma was awakened by reading a sad, desperate letter of hers in an auction catalogue which she promptly bought. This formed the foundation of the wonderful collection she generously shares in the exhibition.
