Hi can anyone tell me if Nelson was ever in the bay of biscay and if so what years and what ship? thanks :lol:

Hi jaylou,

Nelson will have been in the Bay of Biscay on several occasions en route to & from Lisbon, Gibraltar & the Mediterranean. I would guess that at least includes 1776, 1777, 1793, 1797, 1798 & 1803.

But does your query by any chance relate to Maria Freeman 'born on a Man o'War in the Bay of Biscay'? If so there is an earlier thread here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=627 See especially the last few replies on page 2.
