Greetings to all from the micro amphitheatre at the top of my garden.

Keep up with all the fascinating topics in 2013.

Many thanks, Ed, for starting the Christmas ball (oooh!) rolling.

On a personal note, my sincere thanks to everyone for their support for N&HW during what has been a difficult and stressful year for us. But Christmas is a time to reflect on, and enjoy our blessings which indeed I do. Ian makes slow but steady progress and we look forward to our new life in mid-Wales, closer to our family.

So a very happy Christmas to one and all, and best wishes for a bright New Year!

Ed,

A very interesting garden – you must have had a steady hand to paint that lettering!

Anna,

Good to hear you are moving at last! I am sure you will both feel much better when it's all over and you are near to your family. I hope Ian continues to improve.

To all on N&HW, a very Happy Christmas and Peaceful New Year. :D

It's a couple of years since I last posted this up.

Most will recognise it as Fred Roe's painting of the gathering at Fonthill Abbey at Christmas 1800 - which included Lord Nelson & the Hamiltons.

Best wishes to all.

Good wishes too from me, and thanks for wonderful support throughout the year, to all forum members.

Whoops. Why on earth did I type George Roe when I first made the post above. Should of course have been Fred.

Thank you for all who spotted my gaff and were too polite to say!! :D

Very best holiday wishes from Father Time....

...and myself on the "Wet Coast" (British Columbia, Canada).
I keep telling myself that all this rain beats what I encountered in Alberta last week: -27C
