A question in the quiz in today's Times asks: where does the Nelson Pediment overlook the King William Courtyard?

I didn't know the answer but Google did!

Incidentally, the writer in the above link also reports that the Nelson statue outside the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich appears to have been vandalised/damaged - by thieves attempting to steal it for scrap, it is thought.

Apparently, the theft was prominently reported in The Sun, with Our Hero appearing under the banner headline, 'Fix me, Hardy'. (Sorry.)

I went to Greenwich today to get a picture of the pediment, but even sort of knowing where to look I still couldn't find it and had to ask. It's sad that it's in such an odd, tucked-away place as it's a beautiful work of art.
