There are three interesting letters of Nelson's from 1801 up for auction:

http://www.artfact.com/catalog/searchLo ... s=0&isSC=0

The first is a 'Thomson' letter to Emma on 12 February 1801, just after Horatia's birth - 'Kiss my God Child'

The second, a memorandum from 5 August 1801 off Boulogne, overestimates the success of his first attack and is full of optimism for a second.

In the third, to Lutwidge from Amazon on 11 October 1801 in the run up to the peace of Amiens, Nelson makes himself ill ranting about 'Degenerate English' and 'Dirty degenerate Scoundrels'. I'm guessing a French negotiator had been welcomed by the public dragging his carriage through the streets?

Images of all the text are available, with transcripts of most of it.
