I can't recall this being mentioned before. Apologies if it has.

Anyway the other day I was looking at Viscount Linley's furniture website. Just for interest - not because I was looking to buy anything!! :D

And I came across a couple of Nelson-related items which might be of interest.

I have attached images below and the links are here so you can check out the prices !!!!!!!!!

I think they are great, just ordered 8 for my dining room - not!

I think the design is elegantly timeless but I'm sorry they missed out the pockets at the side which Nelson used to file his papers as he worked; they'd be useful for newspapers, TV listings, the remote and the Nelson Dispatch (but might add not a few hundred to the price.)

That's a good point Anna I hadn't spotted that.

Having said that when I'm on the computer I use quite a low table and chair - so I think one of those would suit me admirably.

I'll look in from time to time in case he ever has a 95%-off sale. :)

Sorry to go off-topic but I just looked on David Linley's Wikipedia page -to check that his title is still the same. You never know!

Anyway I see he is also Chairman of Christie's.

I am not one to be jealous of privilege. But imagine having that job. All the objects you would see and the talented and knowledgeable people you would work with.

Wow! I find myself feeling the teeniest, teeniest bit jealous. :)

I note that Nelson didn't go for the bar stool option! :D

Hi Kester

I hadn't conjured up that mental image before.

It really is quite quite awful. :o :D
