Post subject:  Victory on the new pound coin?

We are to have a new pound coin soon and one of the suggested designs is an image of HMS Victory. What a splendid idea! Maybe the coin will be called (colloquially) the Nelson. It is interesting that the pre-decimal coinage had affectionate 'unofficial' names - tanner, bob etc, but the newer currency has none. (Digressive rant: I do object to the modern contraction 'pee' for pence, and object even more to 'one pence' for 'one penny'. Pence is plural!)

Our Canadian dollar coin with its handsome design showing a Loon (Great Northern Diver) got the undignified name Loonie.
Then a two dollar coin came out, with a magnificent polar bear. What do we call it? Not the Bear, alas. The Toonie!
So beware, you'll end up with a Vickie or a Nellie.
