Goodness me, I've seen a few 18th century crib dolls in my time, but I haven't seen anything like this.

I can't get the link to work, but try logging onto ebay and typing:

Pair 19th century antique wax busts Horatio Nelson.

Could anyone explain what it is?

Creepy!

I think this link works: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0240562603

I can't imagine they can be anything other than wax doll's heads, but that's something I know absolutely nothing about. If so, it's a pity the old aunt's relative did not keep the rest of the dolls and their costumes!
