 Post subject: Ayshford Trafalgar Roll online

The Ayshford roll, as compiled by Derek and Pam Ayshford in time for the Trafalgar bicentenary 1805 2005 is an excellent resource that allows basic details to be gleaned on a Trafalgar participant, and researched further.

Since this came out, there have been further records digitised, and available to those with an Ancestry or FindMyPast subscription.

Paradoxically, it has been hard to access the Ayshford data. Anyone owning a disk has to have an old Windows computer that is compatible with it. I am not so sure that The Caird Library have been able to grant access in recent years.

Their work has been in the public domain for at least the past five months or so, courtesy of the 1805 club
