I recently discovered the wonders of the Times Digital Archive. This is an on-line resource - access to the Times Newspaper 1785-1985 which is full of much fascinating information about Nelson, his navy and almost any aspect of the era you care to explore. It may be possible to gain free access through your County Library Service if it is a subscriber, as mine is. You simply log on to your library service, follow the links to newspapers and use your library card to access the TDA from home. A word of warning: it is totally addictive! |
