"The Divine Lady" was a 1929 film about Nelson and Emma.

I just saw that Warner Brothers have made it available on DVD.

I haven't looked long and hard - but at the moment can only find it on the Warner Brothers U.S. website.

Address is here and you can watch a 30 second snippet: http://www.wbshop.com/Divine-Lady%2c-Th ... ntentVideo

It seems to be "silent" i.e. no voices but with musical background track.

Has this been available previously in any other format??

Anna/Mark,

I had heard of this film and looked it up on IMDB (International Movie Data Base) which I often use to check on films, ratings, reviews, etc. Since the film is American, as is the DVD, I suspect that it is not available elsewhere. This would seem to be borne out by the admittedly few reviews of the film, all emanting from America. Anyway, this from the IMDB site:

Perhaps a word of warning is advisable if anyone from this side of the pond is thinking of buying it. It is probably in Region 1 format which means that, as far as I know, it would be playable in the US, but would not be suitable for Europe (which is Region 2). You would, however, very likely be able to play it if you have special equipment, which I suspect many over here (like me) don't. I believe this was an issue with 'I Remember Nelson', which was similarly brought out on DVD in America, although I can't remember if this has been resolved (ie. by making a Region 2 version.)

By the way Mark, I couldn't get the links to work from the initial page you posted which, interestingly, opened behind your post on WON! (It was only because I noticed the edge of it behind, that I realised it was there.)

Kester, Thank you for posting the link, so it seems there are haunted private houses in Holland.
