Having Thomas Collards medal from the Battle of Trafalgar I'm naturally researching as much information I can gather about him. I've learnt from other sources that he was "turned over" (drafted) to HMS OCEAN, HMS Salvador Del Mundo, HMS Armida. Any 'personal' accounts of Thomas would be of great benefit.

Derek

Which medal do you have?

Is this his Naval General Service Medal - with the Trafalgar Bar?

(Or it could also be the Matthew Boulton Trafalgar Medal)

I am sure people on here will try to help - but what info do you have already - this will save anybody duplicating what you have already found out.

Seeing that Thomas Collard died in November 1809, I would imagine that it must be Matthew Boulton's Trafalgar Medal
