Nelson & His World

To mark Christmas 2009, I thought it would be fun to commission our own Nelson’s World Christmas Card – so here is Our Hero, Admiral Lord Nelson, wearing even more decorations than usual, and looking as if he’s enjoyed his grog, with my best wishes for a happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year to all forum members and visitors, at home and abroad, and their families.



I am grateful to everyone who has supported and contributed to Nelson’s World with such a wide variety of posts and discussions, a lively mix of the serious and light-hearted, that is both informative and entertaining. A special thanks to Tony, Alex and Mark for their computer expertise, and patience with my technophobia.

Thanks also to the cartoonist, John Reeves, for his interpretation of His Lordship in celebratory mood.
