| Post subject: | "Stickies" & Announcements |
One little thing - I tend to miss new posts to the announcements and "stickies" at the top of the forums. Because they are always at the top, I tend automatically to skip them and look at the first thread below them. I wonder if they would be noticed more just as normal threads bumped to the top with each new post? |

Thanks for the suggestion, Tony. I've re-designated all the current stickies and announcements as 'normal'. I'll leave any future announcements in place at the head of the forum for a few weeks then return them to normal, as you suggest, or delete them, as appropriate. I'll make it clear in advance if any sticky or announcement is just a temporary one - such as telling members that I'm going to be away and won't be able to answer posts or private messages - and that I intend to delete it once it's out of date. |
