Hello everyone, this is my first posting on this now not-so-new forum - I may not have been an active member (pressure of work...) but I have been keeping an eye on discussion threads. If any of you are in the Sheffield area on Tuesday 28th October 2008, then do come along to an illustrated talk that Roy and I are giving that evening. It is called Jack Tar: Life in Nelson's Navy (the title of our latest book), and it is to be held at 7pm in The Showroom, Paternoster Row, Sheffield S1. Tickets are £5.50 each (concessions £4) available from The Showroom (tel. 0114 275 7727). The talk is part of Sheffield's festival of reading and writing (www.offtheshelf.org.uk). Lesley Adkins |
