Roy and I are giving a talk on 'Jack Tar' on Monday 6th September at 2.30pm at Brixham Museum (south Devon). Doors open at 2pm, and all are welcome. The address is: Brixham Heritage Museum, The Old Police Station, Bolton Cross, Brixham, TQ5 8LZ.

As it is an afternoon event, this provides a perfect excuse to look at the fascinating museum before or afterwards and spend some time in Brixham, which was so important in the time of Nelson. Torbay, where Brixham is situated, provided a sheltered anchorage, and ships would often replenish their water supplies at Brixham.
