Unfortunately I don't have a precise DOB.

The Ayshford Trafalgar Roll has him aged 25 in 1805.

The 1851 census has him aged 72 years.

So it looks to be 1779 plus or minus a year. But unfortunately no sign of him on the IGI.

All the evidence I have so far has him being both born and buried in King's Norton. So as soon as possible I will try and access the parish registers for KN and just comb through manually for the approximate periods of his birth and death.

Hopefully something will jump off the page!
