Today is Trafalgar Day when we honour the memory of Admiral Lord Nelson and those who fell with him.

'There is but one Nelson'.

7 AM, Here in Malta and a gun salute in honour of those at Trafalgar has sounded in the Upper Barrakka Gardens overlooking the Grand Harbour, Valletta. A clear and pleasant morning here, although a storm is brewing up for this evening and tomorrow!

Trafalgar Day is commemorated aboard HMS Victory in the traditional ceremony:

I am sure we will all be remembering Nelson and all those who died in our own way. I shall probably have a glass and watch one of my Nelson DVD's!

Stephen,

Malta seems to have begun in fine style, and your decription of the weather sounds like a re-run of that at Trafalgar!
