One wonders with all the unrest and the sad looting and damage at the Cairo Museum, if the artifacts recovered from the site at Abu-Kir are under safe lock and key at the Castle. :(

According to various news reports on Google the military soon posted guards on museums after the initial attacks and ensured the safety of the artefacts.
