In the 1980's a U.S. company - Lord Nelson Yachts - was making some very handsome vessels.

There is a healthy market in second hand LNY yachts and "tugs".

Here is a selection - click on the name for a picture.

The government says we've got to spend our way out of this financial crisis.

So dig deep . . . . . empty that piggy bank . . . . . check down the back of the sofa . . . . . and own the ultimate Nelson status symbol!

Sounds great! How about a communal 'Nelson&HisWorld' yacht? Tony and Kester pointing the ship in the right direction; Fiddler providing music for the soirées, and me mixing the G&Ts for everyone else (and no poetry - guaranteed)?

Wanna be in it?

Let's go wreck hunting.

I've always wondered about those 1000's of cannon balls that must be on the sea bed off Cape Trafalgar.

There must be a market out there for these "heritage door stops".

Anyone got one of these lurking in the loft or the back of the garage?

Personally I'd prefer this one, though we'd probably need most of the membership to sail it:

Tycho, it would probably be best to keep the helmsman away from the booze, and when not on watch Fiddler could also give us readings from her volumes on the letters of Sir William Hamilton.

Mark, do you mean 'dig deep' or 'dive deep'? Anyway, I'm not sure I'd want to keep that in my loft (if I had one) as I'm sure it would end up in the living room in a very short time. 'Course we could always take it in turns and help out Oddysey, on the wreck of the 'Victory'.

I'm in, long as the skipper don't object. I'm not a very serious person. Can I stash my instrument in someone's cabin for safekeeping? I have written up a detailed history and provenance in case something untoward should befall me, and I have it right here in my pock - Dag yo! What'd I do with it! I just had it...
