Nelson & His World

There have been one or two "Fighting Sail" computer games over the past few years and they have received mixed reviews.

I just picked up on a press release that one of them - called Salvo! - can now be downloaded direct to your computer for the princely sum of $39.95.

On the right hand side there is a button whereby you can download a free demonstration.

I'm not sure if I will have time to look at this seriously but I would be very interested to know if anyone has bought a copy of this game in the past - or downloads this latest version.

I might just have a go at the demo! As you say, one might not have much time for it, but if could wile away the odd hour.

Most of these games seem to be American and there was another called, I believe, the Hunt for the Golden Dophin, which was a product of Mystic Seaport Museum. Again it received mixed reviews.
