Members might like to know that the NMM have 'temporarily' closed the 'Nelson's Navy' gallery, due to the development of the Sammy Ophir Wing. Apparently Nelson's uniform is still on display, having been moved to the 'Maritime London' gallery.

One wonders here too how long is temporarily, especially since this gallery must be one of the Museum's greatest draws – although of course it's the uniform most want to see. Had they not put that on display there would have been another outcry!

Thanks for letting us know, Kester. Sorry this is not under my username - I 'm at my daughter's house and can't persuade the computer to accept my name!
